Hello Bp,
What are you guys favorite brands and places to shop for new appliances and furniture for single family home rentals? I’m wanting to renovate the living room, kitchen, and bathroom in my property and bring it from 1987 to 2020. I want my house to look nice and modern and be enjoyable to live in, but also don’t want to spend a ton of money on the renovation since this is a buy and hold and will be a rental once I save up for my second house hack. I want to buy smart stuff that looks nice but is realistic for a rental. Any suggestions?

Hey @Mathew Fuller! Savvy question here! I typically scope out some good open box appliances at HD or Lowes and negotiate with the store manager to get them to a workable price for me. This has led to some lovely kitchens at a hard-to-beat price and if you piggy-back off of the major appliance sale pushes by the stores you'll see an inevitable wave of open-box items in the following weeks.
I'll also add that this has been a good opportunity to build a good relationship with the store managers, who are a pretty good ally to have.
