Sooo i just saw on a page that a bill passed on the 11th of october or soemthing and as of the 13th the banks cant dictate who to use for a title company (not that they could exactly before) you use to buy the property!
this will make it alot easier to find a title company that will let you flip reo's and done under one roof locally! I posted because i didnt see anything under the bills name "AB 957"

That looks like a CA Assembly Bill, so it would be CA only. You've always been able to do it here in CO. Its just that the selling bank won't pay for title insurance except with their title company.

i believe its a CA thing. I also heard yesterday from an investor here that there are loop holes on the banks side where they can still mess around with it and basically he said what he does is exactly what john said. Just tell the bank you will pay for the title stuff and sometimes the bank is stupid and will say no a couple times before they agree. kinda dumb.
