Rocky Mount, NC investing

I'm looking for insight into the rocky mount area. It isn't too far for me to invest. Are there any particular areas to avoid? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Looking at small multifamily properties.

Hello @William Murden - Rocky Mount (like almost everywhere) has its better and lessor areas. To an extend, it is a 2-sides of the tracks city, with one side having your Chick-Fila and Lowe's and the other side having many boarded up homes in a row on certain streets. Right now I'm working with a client to get a recently acquired 8-unit fully vacant so that we can begin rehab to eventually re-rent at higher rates. The city has a lot going for it, but has risks.
