What are you paying for mowing/lawn care on your multi unit?

This is my first summer with my new property. The lawn service that my PM has contracted with is charging $135 for each mowing and cleanup on a 1.5 acre property. That just seems kind of high to me  -- although they are doing a nice thorough job, so that's a plus. Before I jump on him about finding someone else or getting a better price I wanted to get a reality check from other folks about what they might be paying. What do you pay, for how much lawn?

I am paying $50 per yard every 2 weeks in Atlanta for upto .5 acre. Don't need much of any landscape in winter months so works out well. I have a great landscape person who sends before and after pictures here in Atlanta.

Have been very happy with him. Fired about a dozen guys before him who all over promised and under delivered.

I'm paying on average $50 per yard up to half acre per house. I know in Atlanta it's a struggle to get anyone competent at this time of the year. If you found someone on Craiglist, you'd have to check the work every time. This way, you are putting a value on your time.

Don't move your existing guy out if he's competent unless you're sure of the replacement.

$100  a cut for a multifamily with two buildings.  Large front and back lawn probably similar size, probably 2 acres without trees. Trimming,  No bagging.   I got 3 estimates and they were within  20 $ of  this one.

on a yard up to .5 acres we are charging between $27 & $33 a cut. Depending on how many times a month the owners want it cut.

Its hard to say without seeing the property, but that might be a fair to slightly high price. Lawn mowing is such a cut throat competitive business I don't do it anymore. I'd ask around for a few more prices.

@Sean Kuhn  it's all flat, with a few big trees, no mulch or shrubbery at this point. There are five 3000 sq ft single story buildings and about that much again in parking area. I really don't know all the details about clippings, etc. Pretty sure we're not fertilizing or spraying at this point. Mow & trim, I think

Really, this is pretty proportional  (x5) to what I've paid for a large SFR lot before. I guess I just imagined that the price would go down (at least somewhat) per sq ft as the job got larger

I own a landscaping company and price is determined by many factors. Does that price include bagging the clippings, fertilizer, weed spraying, weed trimming. Also how is the property? Lots of trees and mulch beds or very wide open?
