SFH Investing - Renting out per room while living abroad

Hi all,

I would like to know what kind of team would be necessary in a scenario where I, as an American living abroad (let's say in Europe), want to invest in single-family homes (SFHs) in the United States and rent out each room individually. The idea is to maximize cash flow by renting out each room separately, rather than renting out the entire house to one family. However, I assume that this approach may involve more challenges. For instance, leases for bedroom renters are typically shorter. So, should I hire a real estate agent to handle the showings? Should I consider getting a property manager? Alternatively, could I find a responsible room renter who can also act as the property manager in exchange for discounted rent? What other factors should I take into consideration? Leasing out the bedrooms is just one part of the equation, what else do I need to factor into this?

Thanks!
