Hi all, I'm wondering if you have every come across property managers or RE investors who are looking for senior or disability related home modifications? Or if you have come across senior homeowners who need help improving their home with an accessibility component?
Any information or thoughts on this topic would be highly welcome!
We have started working with a contractor to put in accessibility features in the house we use for short term rental. We have seen that very few properties in that area offer accessibility features so we expect it to provide a differentiator.
There is a big difference between ADA compliance and just adding a few features to make the property practically usable for folks with some forms of disability. In our case we are widening a few doors, adding a ramp and adding hand rails in a bathroom but the house will not be fully ADA compliant.
