What makes RE meetups effective and beneficial?

I have been looking for a REI group in Springfield, MO but haven’t found one yet. There was a long running RE group in our area but it shut down. If I were to start a small REI group how would you recommend structuring it so it was as effective and beneficial as possible for the people in the group?

Great Question! Here is what I have seen make RE meetups truly work:

Real intros - not just names but purpose

One spotlight- share a deal, win or challenge

Guest pros- lender, contractors etc

Interactive activities -roleplays

Low pitch-high energy - not salesy

Start small and intentional - impact beats size every time!
