So I bought a SFH in North Knoxville in 2008. I lived in it for 3 years and moved to Nashville. I rented it out for a few years. I have it on the MLS and have one lowball offer. Being out of town I would appreciate any advice on what the area is doing and if you would recommend fixing it up and who you would use . I bought it for 72k and it could use some updating. My realtor says the area is picking up around it. Any advice or someone willing to partner on a deal ?

How long has it been on the market? What are comps? Not thinking too highly of your realtor if this is the best he can do. What kind of deal? Either sell if you want to pull out equity or hire a property manager and continue to rent. Your PM can advise what to upgrade if you keep it as a rental. Best of luck.

A lot depends on what part of North Knox it is in as some neighborhoods are more popular and growing faster than others and a few other factors. What street is the property on? I live in North Knoxville and recently bought and rehabbed a foreclosure near Fulton high school. I've probably looked at 50+ houses in the north knoxville area in the last year. Im also an aspiring real estate investor and working on my real estate license.
