Just getting started and looking to bring value to an experienced investor in exchange for mentorship. I have 12 years of experience in the land surveying and civil engineering world. Can anyone share ideas for marketing these skills to potential mentors? Thanks!
Hello Sarah! I think your experience would help land developers and I'm not sure what is all included in Civil Engineering but I would talk to a new construction builder or a residential or commercial remodeler about structural matters or water and sewer/drainage matters. I would think that anyone who is good will be interested in that knowledge, even if it's just looking before deciding to buy or make an offer. All those might be interested in any restrictions that may be needed to know and/or City Inspection required. There are many land restrictions that aren't visible. Call a local inspector to get answers. I was in the construction business for about 30 years and that's what I'd do. Good luck!
