I found that working with the lender directly was much easier and cheaper than having a middle man - broker. I would suggest looking for a lender. I used Birchwoodloans.com on my last refinance because the bank wouldnt refinance me and the broker wanted 5 points upfront!
Reach out to a few and ask away your questions. If they are good lenders, you both will be asking the right questions to see if you’ll both be a good fit for each other.
