Canadian Investing in U.S. - Biz Set Up

Hi, As a Canadian citizen living in Canada and wanting to invest in U.S. properties, I'm wondering how to best set up my business...

Should I set up a corporation in Canada first or do I only need a U.S. LLC for each property that I purchase?

I want to do this properly for taxes and asset protection, and legally, in case I want to pursue U.S. citizenship down the road.

Thank you.

Hi Deborah, I already responded to your other post, but I see now that you're also considering US citizenship. I know some ladies that can help with setting up the business properly in order to help get a US visa. I have no affiliation; I just got on their email list somehow. Let me know and I can send you more info.

Hi Zorya, I'd be grateful for their contact information. The only one I've heard of so far is Lauren Cohen of eCouncil Global, and they are quite pricey. It would be great to have more options. Thank you!

    Hi

I'm also in the process of setting this up.

Recently spoke with Ali Ajami from Global tax service and he provided lots of information on how to do this and the costs
