Looking for a personal CPA well versed in syndication

Hi there, 

I'm looking for a new tax accountant for filing my personal taxes. I do a lot of multifamily syndication work so would like someone who's familiar with the tax advantages associated with these investments. Also prefer a company that is great at staying in touch even when the tax season gets busy.

Hi Tony.

We use Somerset CPA's They're a regional firm based in Indianapolis that have clients in most states. They have been a great partner. I have a lead CPA who's always available. He's backed up by an army of specialists (real estate, tax, tax law, etc) that advise on my operating company (Property/Asset Management and Financial Services) as well as 13 separate syndications. If you're ready for the big leagues you'll need a big league team. Check them out.

    There are a dozen or more on the forums. Connect with a few CPAs, and see who you are most comfortable with and who best fits your needs.

    I too am looking for a good CPA comfortable with real estate syndication, LLC, K1's etc? Any recc on any in the South NJ or Philly area?

    How are you involved in the multifamily syndication work? Are you a general partner in a syndication? Are you a limited partner who invests in a syndication?

    Are you open to working with an accountant remotely?

    I would prioritize finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation over one that is local.
    There are 20+ accountants on this message board who specialize in real estate taxation. Feel free to reach out to a couple and use the one you connect with the most.
