My renters are smoking pot...

That title caught your eye, didn't it?

I have 4 tenants in this property.

So tenant A & B saying tenant C is smoking pot in the house (I've already given her a warning based on prior rumors). Also, tenant B says tenant D is doing it as well. I have written statements from both tenant A & B. Is that enough to evict the pot smokers?

    Hopefully everyone can just leave peacefully as w/ rumors, it is hard to do anything and the cops are usually pretty worthless in these type of situations.  I could care less if people smoke pot, but I definately dont want smokers of any kind any of my places!

    For sure David. It is not disputed by even average Doctors these days.

    @Jay Hinrichs

    You should invite all the pot heads in your area to a sit down.

     I say evict Tenants A & B and keep the pot smokers. If everybody pays the rent, What's the problem? Better to smoke pot than drink alcohol

    @Taylor Chiu , if your property has drug dealing tenants, it could potentially be subject to Civil Asset Forfeiture proceedings. Most jurisdiction use the forfeiture proceeding to take cash or other property found in large scale drug raids. Some jurisdictions, however, have started using the process to raise revenue to the point where they are seizing the houses belonging to the parents of your average 19 year old failure-to-launch-types after they discover said failure-to-launch types selling dime-bags to their friends. Although the odds of the man seizing your rental are remote, do you really want to be caught up in that kind of proceeding? All it takes is one entrepreneurial prosecutor to create the "they paid the landlord with the proceeds from the drug deals" nexus before you find yourself paying a lawyer to sort the mess out.

    It could happen.

    This has gotten ridiculous. I have no doubt that my kid would be DEAD without cannabis. He is an adult now [20] but he was the second minor [possibly third] in the state of Colorado to get the 'pink card."[ minors card] And we still had social service up our butts [though the workers always apologized and felt terrible about it] for several years.

    I am open about both of us being Autistic.  My son also has lesions on BOTH sides of his thalamus which causes it to signal to the rest of the nerves in the body that they are under extreme attack.  These ice-pic, much worse than tazer type pains, at the worst were so intolerable that he used to pass out hundreds of times a day from the pain.  He BEGGED me to help him die every single day for years.

    Marijuana has been a miracle for our family [and no, I do not smoke it, but only  because it doesn't work well with my biology] and I cannot understand why the OP [and others] came all unglued about some nasty little gossip whores accusations.  one of the things I LIKE about being Autistic is that I do not believe gossip. I wish nobody did.

    I am hoping that this subject is just dropped.

    I'm confused... there are people out there that don't smoke pot? Seems un-American ;)
