Hi All,

Happy New Year to everyone! Let's start the new year right by having a fun real estate meetup! These meetups have had 15-40 BP and Meetup.com members chatting about investing in the San Jose area and also out of state. Bay Area and out of state investor @Jay Y. initially suggested this meetup and I have been keeping it going ever since. Regular experienced investors such as @J Martin from Oakland and @Minh Le in San Jose have been regularly attending. We welcome anyone who would like to attend!

When: Friday, January 9th, 2015, 7:00pm

Where: Whispers Cafe and Creperie

(The cafe is in the same complex as City Sports and in the same building as Five Guys on the opposite side of the building.)

@Johnson H.Thank you for reminding me of the meetup. I really want to see you guys and talk about the new year plan. Unfortunately I have to work till 6:30 this Friday so by the time I get to SJ from Carmel, I will probably just in time to say good-bye. :-) So, I will catch up with you guys next month. Have fun!

Thanks for organizing, as always.. Believe it or not, I am ****gasp!!!!***** working like a sucker on Friday! so not sure if I can make it down early. I might be there at regular time... Hopefully @Account Closed will still be there when I roll in. Johnson, are you driving down from SF? I'll be working at One Montgomery. Was thinking about taking Cal Train, but if we can get commuter lane..?

Is @Troy Fisher coming out on Friday? Anyone else from the peninsula, Fremont, Oakland, San Mateo, or the rest of the Greater Bay Area, come say hello in San Jose on Friday, SF on Wed (tomorrow), or Santa Cruz on the 16th! @Kevin

It depends on how I feel. I came down with a flu yesterday, and it's kicking my behind. Been in bed all day today. I'm one of those that don't get sick quite often, but when I get sick, it's bad.
I should be well for Shane's meet up next week. Fingers crossed.

Hello!
Are these meet-ups always on a Friday? I've been wanting to attend one of these for so long but can never make a Friday meeting. Any other days would be so great! Although I will still do my best to finally attend one to meet my fellow investors.

Sorry @Yuliany W. and @Uyenchi Ho J and I have similar schedules where we are off every other Friday and I usually hold the meetup on those Friday's and we can make it out early. I am having the meetup today as Shane is having his next Friday and we coordinated so that we wouldn't have overlap. Next month I'm not sure what to do as the Friday I have off is the day before Valentines Day and I doubt anybody would want to attend. The week before I'll be on the East Coast for work. If anybody is interested, maybe we can have a Saturday meetup in Feb?
@Arlen Chou - J and I plan to leave the city by 4:30pm to make it by 6pm, see you there!

@Johnson H. No problem. Thank you for addressing my question. For me, Friday nights are a sacred time with the family - the streak has not been broken for more than 5 years, so I'm reluctant to break it now. Maybe when the kids are older and are too cool to hang out with their parents, then my Fridays will free up. Until then... I'll see about sneaking out whenever I can.

I didn’t get to meet as many people as normal, since I was spending most of my time chatting with @Arlen Chou and @David C. undefined, see you in San Jose on the 28th. Let me know if you want to do a meetup in SF or Oakland the day before or after.. ;)
