Getting A Property Management Company To Remove Old Listing?

Does anyone have any advice on how to get a listing removed from Airbnb and VRBO? We just took possession of our new STR on Monday and the former property manager has been ghosting us the whole time. He won't remove the listings nor his direct booking site. Any tips on what we can do? I'm afraid we will run into trouble when our new listings go live. -Amanda

@Mark Bowers you may have to threaten the PMC with reporting them to their Board of Realtors and the State Attorney Generals office.

What does your contract say with the property manager? It should indicate the action they need to take. I’ve heard that Airbnb allows multiple listings with the same address. Some folks book one property slightly differently, such as only renting half and then their second listing renting the whole property. With that being said, it is possible for you to go ahead and list it.

Not Airbnb yet....did contact VRBO and they said property manager has to remove the listing, but I didn't explain that they won't communicate with us just yet. I was more or less just inquiring about whether it was okay to list my own site with it still up on theirs. I did think about popping in next week. Might try that route. Harder to ignore you if you are there in person.

Have you tried reaching out to AirBnB and providing them with a copy of your deed? Is the PM local? You might just pop in to their office.
