We were approved for a 10% vacation home loan in New Hampshire but ended up offering on a house today in Vermont. After offering we found out the Loan agent we were working with Is not yet licensed in VT. We Are quite sure our offer is going to be accepted in the next 24 hours. any help is greatly appreciated.
VT is one of several states with strict licensing laws. From my understanding lenders can only enter that market if they have an office and employee working there, hence why many lenders (including us) exclude it on the list of states we lend in. Your best bet is to find a lender based out of VT.
