    Have you looked on AirBNB (VRBO isn't in this mix due to single room rental)?

    Look in your area and see what is available and check their calendar @Saurabha Jirgi.

    For the month of October, you would get one $50 customer staying for 2 nights. They may want their own private hot tub/bathroom for their comfort ostrich, I don't know. Get on Airbnb and study your area. Look at some of the other rentals and what they're charging. Then sign up. Airbnb will tell you what to do. You could easily find a long term room mate and charge them $1000 or more a month. Less work, and if your roommate is a meth head youre not restricted by the Anti-landlord Seattle/Landlord tenannt laws. You simply give 30 days notice, no reason required. (like the good ol days, like Idaho)

    Since you plan on living in I would say the main thing is great hostility while also staying out of the way. The few I've stayed at were great the owner give us good info around the area but then also let us do are thing. A few buddies I have that have set up AirBnb all say one shopping trip to Costco and your good to go.

    Check out airdna and you can also use a local rental calculator like Rentometer for a plan b. What people sometimes do during long vacancy periods is have longer-term rates such as travelling nurses or students during the winter/cold months

    You can use the bigger pockets platform to calculate your numbers with AirDNA. I have several MTR and STR properties and the numbers are usually within 20% + or - of that data. You are only allowed one Airbnb in Seattle and you will be required to set up an LLC and get a business license in order to list your property on Airbnb. Seattle is highly regulated when it comes to STRs.
