Does anyone have their thermostat programed to turn AC off if door is left open?  If so what do you use? Beach property with two sliders...

 I use the Honeywell T9 thermostats at multiple locations and they are they best!

You can program in high and low setpoints that guests can't change. If they leave the door open in the a summer then they will get hot. You'll also get high Humidity alerts.

      You can control that one remotely correct?

      OP- smart locks will do this for you, but only on the door which it is installed.

       Yes they have a great app to remotely control the Honeywell thermostats.

    You can install a $5 door hing that is essentially a spring in place of one of the 3 pins that will close the door. We do this so doors aren’t left open for wildlife. Simple and cheap.

      Thank you. I didn't know there was such a thing for sliders. Will google.

    So I get humidity alerts on our thermostat but so far no one has seemed to leave the door open.
