I've already got the property which I own in my entity. My goal is to rent it on a short-term basis and perhaps mid-term when STR season isn't in peak.
Hey @Rashad George, have you thought about just doing it yourself? No one takes care of guests and their STR like the owner.
Once you get things rolling it isn't that tough. Do a search and you will find a ton of info on getting things setup.
San Antonio should have a ton of resources like cleaners and handy persons so you can get a core team up and running.
Do you own the place already? Is it all setup and ready to go?
Michael,
I've actually considered doing it myself for tax purposes but, I'm also considering paying someone at least until my day job is more predictable as far as the time I must dedicate outside of normal business hours to be successful.
It might be a good compromise to do the managing myself but, finding a cleaning crew to assist with turnover.
I currently own the place and the contractor is finishing up the rehab now, I expect it to be about another month after that before it is fully furnished. If you have setup tips, I'd love to acquire that information from you!

Is the property you plan on using in a HOA?
Thankfully, it's not in HOA. I specifically bought in a non-HOA area to hopefully minimize the restrictions for the neighborhood.
Hey Rashad, I would recommend you to seek local STR host groups on Facebook and ask for referrals there. I think there are a few people on here from that area but most are not, so likely you will find better market specific resources there. Good luck!

You need to do it yourself first in order to know what you are hiring people for.
"A good manager works his way up and knows what it takes along the way." Applies in business, applies in STR...
You have a point. I'm thinking start-off with the co-hosting model, then move into using a manager for scale. I'm mostly looking to get ahead and have the contacts vetted and in-line for when the time comes.
I've always struggled finding a good co-host (and cleaners too for that matter!). Like many mentioned, no one will take care of the property as good as you.
If cleaning is the main driver here, I would urge you to consider Turno to find a cleaner
For finding a cohost though, Airbnb does now have a Find a Cohost feature that shows you reviews of them which I personally havent used but could be a place to start.
