What is your lamest reason for a renter to leave?

Was renting a place to 4 guys from Houston.  They were doing demolition work at a refinery.  After 2 months, one of the guys was gone.  I asked the other guys where he went.  They said he found a girlfriend up here and moved in with her.

Lame excuse #1:  He found a girlfriend.

Two weeks later he was back and living in my STR house with the other 3 guys. I asked him why he moved back. He said the woman was crazy and he had to get away from her.

2 months later he called me one morning and said he was leaving.  He wanted a partial refund of his rent.  I asked him why he was leaving.

Lame excuse #2:  His wife in Houston was packing up her things and moving out from their house.

@Paul Sandhu

I had a couple from NYC want to leave because the husband couldn’t see the Northern Lights from our “well lit city street” and wanted a full refund. He left to stay at the Ramada, in the center of the city which is more lit up.

Like, I live in the middle of New York, dude. What northern lights were you planning to see?
