Hi @Antoine Ferguson. Yes, and OK.

Let me ask you a question. Do you eat food? How's that going?  :)

It's funny that you come in to the short term rental forum and ask if anyone is doing short term rentals.

I did. I don't own them though. I rent properties and ask unit owners if it's fine to sublease it coz I rent it out on daily basis via airbnb / facebook.  Purpose is for experiment since I am selling properties in the area. Second, to build networks, connections and visitors of my page. 3rd, preparation for my plan of setting up a property management business. I find it fun and profitable.

@Jadi T. I am managing a few Airbnb properties that I don't own as well.  I'd like to discuss your plan for setting up a property management company.  I have one ready and I am looking for a partner.  I am interested specifically in the Philippines.  Connect with me.  My info is on my profile page:)

We house-hack using a short-term rental in our garden-level downstairs suite for the last two years. Pretty much covers our mortgage. And we love the tax benefits!

House-hack = using your primary residence to generate income, making it a true asset.

Yep yep, we鈥檙e all doing it. Quite successfully too! As a fellow northerner, I鈥檇 suggest you look out of state down south - that鈥檚 where the big 馃挵馃挵馃挵 is made! Welcome to it!

The name of this forum is vacation and short term rentals.  Is that really your question?  Have you looked through the thousands of posts prior to yours?  Come'on man!

I definitely agree to that.  There are a lot of newbies who come here  and just ask a question expecting everyone to fill them in before all the knowledge they need, rather than doing research  and preparing themselves first.

and of course there's newbies you start a thread, it gets 50 responses and they never say anything after their original post.
