I know the answer can vary, but what is the typical cost to completely outfit a roughly 6-700 square foot 1 bed apartment to be rented out on Airbnb? I think I'd be able to find some things used to save on furniture and other bigger ticket items. Things like linens and such would be new.
We manage units just like this all over. For a standard 3/2 we generally spend around 12k-15k for a unit that is FULLY stocked, furnished, and beautiful. For a 1br 1ba I think if you spent more than 4k you've over spent.
Zinus platform bed. Zinus green tea mattress. Drip Maker. Silverware. Plates. Blender. Maybe a dresser and an end table from rooms to go or facebook. That's about it. I wouldn't spend more than 3k.
DISCLAIMER!!!! Pretty good chance this isn't legal in this apartment. Of course we know you already checked but I must point out the obvious. Probably not legal and if it is it wont be for long. Unless you own the building. But if that's the case and you want to STR then just sell the building and buy a hotel. Because that's what a hotel is. A big building with apartments that are rented without a lease.
