quick followup: Even as recent as this summer, the local zoning guy sent me emails that my short term rental was not illegal. I'm guessing some code just changed and now they are attacking me. My immediate neighbors are fine with the idea so I'm not sure out of all the local zoning violations and other short term rental properties, why they are singling me out.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with STR in CC, but I am surprised that you're having issues if the property is well maintained, etc. Which township?
