It honestly depends on the complex, etc. I often find that some 2 bedrooms gain near the same rental income as a 1 bed, but are at a much higher purchase price. Two bedrooms will always be more attractive however, at the end of the day- people just want to come to Maui and will take what they can get. Also, keep in mind our unprecedented LOW INVENTORY. Think about what and how long you're willing to wait or if you just want to get your foot in the door.

@Brae Schulte sorry man, I just saw this. I’ve got both and it does depend on the complex but for the most part I like 1 bedrooms better. Less wear and tear as it’s usually just couples coming out. With the 2s we’ve seen a lot of budget travelers trying to squeeze several couples in or large families. They tend to not be cared for as much and have more breakage.
