Two game wardens stopped by my house today. They were looking for some previous renters of mine. The renters had about a dozen falcons that they used to eliminate nuisance pigeons around an industrial complex. The wardens just wanted to make sure the falconers had the proper permits.
You would think they could look up the name of your renters and see if they were listed s permit holders. How many permit holders in the state? 100? 1000?
We figured it out. The falconers were from out of state. They would feed the birds every evening in the back yard. Some neighbor must have seen this spectacle every evening and contacted the authorities. This is the same house where some other STR renters had 2 rattlesnakes that escaped.
