Hi @Vidya Padmanabhan, welcome to the BP Forum! What type of properties are you seeking, SFR, 2-4 MF, or 5+ MF? What is your price range/down payment amount? Are you looking for turn-key properties or something along the lines of a "fixer upper"?

@Jaycee Greene Thank you. We both are in W2 and want to take this RE journey one step at a time, baby steps(scale the next 5 years and further). We are currently looking for SFH or Townhomes 3BD preferably with some rehab to do before we fix and rent it out. We are hoping when gather a good team we can explore other possibilities. Currently in the learning and forming phase :).
I also invest in Baltimore, I have some success and horror stories to share lol. Happy to connect with you and even have you come see some of my current projects. I'm currently investing in the 21218 zip code. Have you narrowed down the area you'd like to invest in yet?

This coming weekend we were thinking of come out and checking the neighborhoods of few zips where there were houses we liked on MLS. If you are ok, we can come visit. Saturday is the only day that works(this week or next whatever works for you).

Just based on face value, I prefer to invest in locations that borders the county line (21218, 21215, 21213, 21212). Neighborhoods there are usually in better shape (although Baltimore is very much block by block), and in my opinion, the quality of the tenant pool is much better.
Oh, and great idea checking out the properties in person—the pictures you see on the MLS can be very deceptive lol. Absolutely, you can stop by on Saturday. I'll DM you the addresses.
