Josh Green - North Atlanta - Introduction to the BP Community
My name is Josh Green, and I am a Realtor along with my wife, Chandley. We have lived in the Alpharetta/Cumming, GA area since 2020. We moved here from Dublin, GA, which is where we both grew up. I love this area because it's growing so rapidly and has us positioned nicely to take quick getaways to Blue Ridge and Lake Lanier. (Plus, the Big Creek Greenway is excellent for cycling)
My background is in technology and data analytics, primarily in healthcare software. That role gave me exposure to REITs and operators who thought about occupancy and revenue the same way investors think about cash flow and returns
As a long-time fan of BiggerPockets, I always heard about the forums, but never really spent much time here. The podcasts encouraged me to keep my house in Dublin when we moved and use it as a rental. That ended up being one of the best financial decisions of my life. We were able to cash flow for nearly two years while the COVID years pushed up the property values, and we eventually sold. In December of last year, we purchased our current primary residence and helped a family member buy a STR (using a 1031 Exchange!).
I’m excited to be here and to connect with other investors. Our team works with everything from STRs on Lake Lanier to suburban rentals and unique properties in North Atlanta and the Blue Ridge area.
