Welcome Ryan! Pittsburgh's got some solid opportunities. One thing I wish someone told me early on - start building your contractor network NOW, even before you find deals. Hit up supply stores, talk to guys doing work, get 3 estimates for everything. Having reliable contractors lined up is what makes BRRRR actually work vs becoming a money pit. What neighborhoods are you eyeing in Pittsburgh?
Glad to hear you are ready to make the jump and find your first investment property. While it takes some more diligence and needing to be a bit more precise in your estimations and execution, it is still very possible to make the BRRR strategy work here. One of the few large markets in the country where you can still make this happen.
