New to this group & new to REI
HI there, Noob here.
Excited about participating, growing and contributing in the REI space. I am interested in STR, private lending and maybe wholesale, but I don't have a mentor so wholesaling is a big leap for me. I also understand that in NC, one needs a RE license to do wholesale transactions.
My first project is to convert my home's 2-car garage to an ADU. All tips welcomed from fellow garage converters on the wins and gotchas. I'm in the phase of deciding on a GC+ designer and looking at layout options. My questions are:
1. Have you done an attached garage to ADU conversion and was it worth it? Any gotchas or pinpoints to share?
2. What REI mentorship course/class/seminar helped you launch successfully and gave you the tools to deal with setbacks or challenges? (I need a mentor)?
3. I see a lot of meetups, do they all have the same focus for a particular audience within REI or a mash up?
