I'm Bryan, based in Lawrence, MA. My background is in property management and I actually started my own property maintenance and asset operations company, so I've spent years in the trenches with owners, tenants, vendors, and the day to day reality of keeping buildings running.

Now I'm working on getting my real estate license, with the goal of becoming an agent who actually understands investors and builders, not just someone who lists houses. I want to help people find deals that make sense on paper and understand what it actually takes to operate a property once the sale closes.

I'm also really interested in wholesaling and would love to connect with anyone doing that around Greater Boston, the North Shore, or the Merrimack Valley. If you're a wholesaler, investor, builder, or just someone further along this path than me, I'd genuinely love to learn from you, grab coffee, or just trade notes.

Happy to be a resource too since I know property operations and maintenance really well. Looking forward to meeting people here and hopefully at some local meetups soon.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to say hi!

@Bryan Sierra Welcome to the BP community. Your property management and maintenance background should give you a valuable perspective as you transition into real estate sales, especially when working with investors. Best of luck getting your license and building your network in the Greater Boston area.

    Welcome @Bryan Sierra!

I'd be happy to connect and share notes. I started with wholesaling then started flipping & building homes and now I'm an investor, lender and partner. I will say, I don't think wholesaling is the best way to go to get started in my opinion. If you're open to it, I'd love to share how I would start if I was starting over. DM if you want to discuss.

Welcome, Bryan. You’ve already got a great advantage coming from the property management and maintenance side because you understand what properties actually cost to operate, not just what they look like on a spreadsheet. I’ve been investing for years and spend a lot of time around wholesaling and finding off market deals. Happy to connect and trade notes anytime.

@Bryan Sierra, what stood out to me was your goal of becoming an agent who understands what happens after the sale, not just how to get a property to closing. I’m both an attorney and a broker, and I think having experience on more than one side of real estate changes the questions you ask when you look at a property.

I work with investors and landlords, and I’ve seen deals where something that seemed minor during the transaction became much more important once the buyer actually owned the property. It could be an existing lease, a title or ownership issue, a contract question, or simply something about the property that did not fit the buyer’s plan. Your property management and maintenance experience should give you a useful perspective when you start working with investors as an agent.

I enjoyed reading your introduction, @Bryan Sierra. The legal, brokerage, and property operations sides of real estate overlap more than people sometimes realize, so your background caught my attention. Happy to stay connected and exchange perspectives as you move into this next part of your career.
