I am a 40 year old truck driver who lives in Baytown, Tx. I'm originally from Canada. I'm married with 3 kids, my name is Darcy Maiangowi.

Me and my wife have spent the past year rebuilding our credit from 450 to almost 600. We have a 1 year old and a soon to be 3 year old so she's been raising the kids. She just finished a 6 week truck driving course so she will be returning to work.

I make enough money to support us so her income will be used towards saving a down payment.  We want to build a house this fall. However I'm interested in starting an investment club.

I want to get about 6-15 people to buy shares of $1000, you can buy 1 or multiple, I want to raise 15-20k, I want to use that money for a down payment to build a house, I have an uncle who has a home building business, I want to build a house on a vacant lot, when the house is done, I want to sell the house to a buyer at an agreed cost, the cost of the build + a guaranteed return of $3000 for each $1000 share, at that point everyone gets their $1000 back and then we have $30-40k to play with and repeat a build except we will sell at market value and have a potentially bigger return.

My plan is to get people like local realtors, builders, mortgage people to be a part of the club (I have people in mind for each role).

The point of the club is to have a guaranteed first return and your first investment is returned in 9 months or less, then everyone is playing with free money.

I'm here looking for advice and tips on how to go about it.
