Greetings new e real estate friends,

I am a social justice activsist. I hold a Associate of Arts Degree in Information Technoilogy and Networking and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services and Management.

I am a queer surivor of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," and transgender man (FtM type) having served in the U.S. Navy as a female from Septemer 6, 2001- September 5, 2005).

I am a radically inclusive Motivational Music Minister and am currenly employed with the YMCA as a Behavior Support Specialist, specializing in Mental Health.

I was born in Oakland, CA the Summer of '83, raised in Ohio and currently reside in San Diego, CA. I am a life long learner and my goal is for my famiily and I to obtain finanical freedom.

Political leanings and personal life choices are best left to Facebook and Twitter.Here we talk about real estate and money matters.Now,is their anything relevant you like to talk about like how to finance rental properties and flip opportunities? Do you want to learn about wholesale techniques?

Ain't that some ****. Same age, and both of us were in boot camp during 9/11.
Soo.... I thought this story of Kamikaze pilots flying into the "twin towers" ("wtf are the twin towers?") was BS and that our DIs were making it up to "motivate" us and get us angry to train harder. It happened to be the first day of "field week," when we were out of touch/communication with anyone else (starting our core training on the subject of killing folks), basically our only source of info was our DIs who were like "oh so funny coincidence, Pearl Harbor Part 2 just happened, you know, today... get ready for war and train harder!" and I was like "ya ok whatever lol." I was a 9/11 denier from Tuesday until I saw it in the Sunday paper.
What's your boot camp 9/11 story?

If it wasn’t for the “life choices” made by Chris & Terrance to protect and serve our country, you could have potentially been denied the right to express your “hallway monitor” opinions regarding the acceptable way for an new member to introduce themselves and the correct way for a member to welcome them to the forum.
I didn’t notice anybody leaning politically, but if they are, I’ll take this time to remind them to stand up straight with heads held high and please accept my sincere thanks for protecting my right to reply to whomever I like regarding whatever I like whenever I like without getting detention.
Oh - and in case you didn’t hear —-There’s a HUGE sale on paddles!!!

@Terrance Miller. Welcome to BP and REI. Start radically reducing spending and save, save, save. Clean up any credit issues. Talk to lenders and see what you need to do to qualify to purchase an owner-occupied multifamily with up to 4 units and low (5% or less) down payment. Work backwards from the end goal, fill in the steps, and work the plan.
Thank you for your service and thank you for the work you do to help people in need. Your profession is rewarded by seeing the lives you've changed, not so much by your W2. But REI can allow to keep doing the work you do AND work toward financial independence. Wishing you success.
