New investor looking at Slidell, LA - and any empty resort rooms

Hi, I'm new to Slidell, Louisiana and am thinking about getting into long term rentals. Just trying to learn this side of the game. Currently, I help hotels and resorts that could  use help with room capacity connect with large vacation clubs. Now I'm looking for opportunities and lessons in both arenas.

    Welcome to BP @Sean Morrison. Brandon's book on Rental property investing would help a lot as well if you will be doing buy and hold investing. Good luck

    Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. @Ryan Monier, I'd love to pick your brain some time about this area. I was living in NOLA, and while not investing, I at least understood the dynamic. North Shore is very new to me and still trying to figure out which areas are worth while.
