I know Paul from a local coaching group and he is highly respected at the Milwaukee REIA. I don't post much on bp but I saw his name on the keyword alert for WI and wanted to say hey!

Hi @Paul E. Martin thanks for offering your assistance to investors in the Milwaukee market. In your experience what are some trends you are seeing with respect to population growth or decline, the economy and growth or decline in the rental market?

I don't really keep up with populations.Don't know if I can directly answer that question, however, rental properties are selling well here, it was really hot this summer, and now leveling off. there is some growth in the economy, and the rental market is strong!
I will say, there is a lot of investor competition, most of it is newbies who don't really know what they are doing. They are paying too much. I suspect this trend may end when they realize the mistakes they may have made. This is just an opinion.

@Paul E. Martin Welcome to the site. 90% of the properties I am insuring for out of state investors investing in Milwaukee are new to REI. A seasoned investor like yourself that knows the local market could be a great help to them.

Thank you Jason! There are great local resources here that newer investors can take advantage of, insurance agents like yourself who can service out of state owners, and that can understand special investor needs, is definitely needed!
