Howdy BP! As the subject implies I am a Marine Corps veteran from Waco, Texas. I am currently working as a Correctional Officer and using my G.I. I'm new to all of this, but am interested in multi family for a house hack, too, preferably in DFW, but maybe Waco. We're probably researching the same deals.
Based on conversations I've had lately, building new might be a cheaper option. I probably need to study these forums about that.

oh yea! I wanted to talk to you cause I overheard you saying something about real estate classes at MCC which is where I will be working on my RE license next semester. I'm currently playing with a few ideas and options but I had really planned on getting aggressive in about a year when I am in a better position to negotiate but if a deal comes my way now I will certainly take a swing. Will I see you at the next meetup?
I'm probably on the same time frame as far as purchasing. My plan is to figure out my one thing, crunch the numbers on 100 such deals, see 100 properties, save all the money I can, and listen to all the BP podcasts. Let's chat at the next Waco meetup.
