Hey all! Aspiring investor from Richmond, VA. I have been listening to BP for a few months, and just now beginning to read/engage on the forums. I currently reside with my family in our primary residence, and have been consuming podcasts and books, with the goal of buying our first investment property by the end of the year, if not sooner. Likely leaning on funding deals with a HELOC on our primary, and I'm still mulling the best strategy to use HELOC funds - leaning towards BRRRR or buy and flip, to keep the funds freed up.

Hey @John Pierce, I live in the Northside and am still trying to figure out the best spots in which to invest. Petersburg looks good in certain spots, as does Chesterfield, and Manchester. I'm most familiar with Northside, but most homes are either too expensive, or too far gone.
Welcome! I am north of there near Quantico, Va. I was just talking to someone about the market there with how people who are doing fix and flips are seeing some real good returns and changing neighborhoods. Should be a fun market! Especially if Amazon or Apple ends up there.
