Hello BiggerPockets Community!
My name is Jim McDaniel. I am 26 years old and an Active Duty member of the Navy currently living overseas. I am looking to transition out of the military and into the civilian world and I am very interested in future opportunities with Real Estate Investing.
I regularly listen to the BiggerPockets podcasts, have read "Set for Life" and "The Book on Rental Property Investing" and I am eager to continue learning about the world of Real Estate Investing.
Once I am back in the United States, my wife and I are looking at civilian career opportunities around the Annapolis / Baltimore area of Maryland. My wife and I are very interested in "house-hacking" a duplex/triplex for our first property. Following an initial investment in house-hacking, I am interested in rental and commercial property real estate investment opportunities in the DMV area and throughout the U.S.
I am eager to learn more and look forward to being a member of the BP community!

There are opportunities for multi family properties in Baltimore (much more than DC or Annapolis). Let us know when you are ready to go and we'll be ready to help. Lots of good Realtors and lenders, title companies and insurance providers as well as Meet up and REIA notifications. The Baltimore REIA is one of the largest in the country.
@James McDaniel, welcome to BP and congrats on your upcoming EAS or retirement. Well done. Tons of info to learn and great people on this site. Good luck with the transition.
