Hello BP community. My name is Andrew and I recently relocated to Pueblo from Denver. My wife and I were very successful with a house hack the last 6 years but are no longer interested in having 4 roommates!
Right now my goal is at least 1 property a year. I am leaning towards SFH or small multi-family. I have a great day job that pays well but want to accelerate the path to financial independence.

@Andrew Sauthoff I think that you are looking at pretty good neighborhoods. I'd love to chat with you in person some time about what you're thinking/seeing and compare notes. Right now I'm actually under contract for a 4 plex in Belmont (NE Pueblo) which will be my first rental.
Right now I don't spend a lot of "free time" in pueblo (when I am in town, I am on a mission), but if you're ever up for coming up to the Springs there is a meetup at third space that I regularly attend (along with @Daniel Haberkost). The next one is on this Tuesday. It's a pretty large meetup and a few of us there are focused on Pueblo and a lot of solid advice/services can be found there.

Welcome to the forums Andrew! I'm house-hacking up here in the The Springs but do quite a bit of business in Pueblo West. Where specifically are you looking?

@Andrew Sauthoff. Hi Andrew best of luck with your goals. I own a buy and hold 6 unit on the east side. It has been pretty good but a few times over the years we have had some pretty rough tenants. I’m thinking about looking for another property this year as well. Maybe if it works out we can grab a coffee or a drink next time I’m down there.

Daniel, I just started looking and analyzing properties in Pueblo. I was looking for something in the Springs, but I just don't think rents have caught up with the huge rise in prices over the last couple of years. I know that I want to stay away from class C properties, because as I said I already love my day job and don't need a second one. Right now I am thinking the Northside, Orman, and Mesa Junction neighborhoods.

@Andrew Sauthoff yeah agreed on rents not catching value increases in The Springs. But those are good areas, I really like over by the college too, there is a lot of new development going in over there and nice, we’ll-kept neighborhoods.
I second @Jeremy Norman, that meetup is very useful.
