International RE help?

I love BP for its US data,, insights and knowledge, but I don't see much about international investing.  Is there part of this forum I'm missing or can someone point me to some good resources about general info (best way to find property, are some countries better than others for US citizens to buy, etc.).  I'm thinking Europe mostly.  

I see these incredibly cheap prices on some great "looking" places (who know's what's behind the curtain and under the floorboards), but don't even know really where to start.  And BP has been my go to for all US knowledge, figure someone here knows something.
