I love BP for its US data,, insights and knowledge, but I don't see much about international investing. Is there part of this forum I'm missing or can someone point me to some good resources about general info (best way to find property, are some countries better than others for US citizens to buy, etc.). I'm thinking Europe mostly.
I see these incredibly cheap prices on some great "looking" places (who know's what's behind the curtain and under the floorboards), but don't even know really where to start. And BP has been my go to for all US knowledge, figure someone here knows something.
Hi Leslie, there is an international section within the forum with posts from people like me who invest outside of the US in Europe and other continents.
You're not a dolt and you're right. It doesn't exist anymore. Ironically, before the last modifications of the forums were implemented, BP invited the main contributors to each forum to participate in a conference call with CEO Scott Trench to give feedback about the changes. I participated as the main contributor to the international forum but I didn't know they were going to abolished so I couldn't advise them against it.
I imagined that they did that because of the low participation but that might change as I've noted a huge increase in interest in international investing lately, which makes sense given that the US is losing its advantage when it comes to cheap financing. So it might come back. People need to ask!
