The silent majority are conservatives in this country. I think obama has finally managed to wake them up. Christians are concerned about the medical language. Retired are worried about being denied their own doctor and medical treatment they want. Business owners are worried about EVERYTHING . Medical personnel are worried about another obama czar or czarina. It is exciting to think maybe we can actually put a stop to this runaway obama express to financial ruin of our country. Rich

    Tim -

Funny how you didn't think it was a big deal when the other side was doing it (Heather Blish)...

Unlike you, I'll remain consistent -- hopefully they'll strip this woman of any position (volunteer or not) she might hold in the party. As I said in the other thread, there needs to be zero tolerance for this kind of crap...it makes both sides look bad...

I'm sorry Jason. Perhaps I missed it when you showed me an example of someone faking being a Doctor. Feel free to remind me.

Tim, if it weren't for semantics, you wouldn't have any argument at all...

But, then again, as usual, your semantic argument is so impressive that I'm not even going to bother to argue with you...well done...

What argument do you claim I'm making? All I said was "wow".

I didn't even blame Obama or the democratic party for it. The only connection is that she is Pro-Obamacare.

My only opinion on this thus far is that she's an idiot for trying it.

Tim- It shouldn't surprise you that this is the way the responses come when there isn't any info to back up a discussion. We're all used to it by now. I apologize as a Texan (part time) for Sheila Lee. What a horrible , politician. Her rudeness and stupidity in this same "town hall meeting" was also very telling. Rich.

I wonder how many congresspeople have handed themselves a pink slip with the way they've been treating their constituents over this issue. I might be confusing two separate townhall meetings but I remember one that I think it was Arlen Specter's where he basically told the crowd they weren't representing his constituency or something stupid like that and a lady yelled out, "You're gonna lose your job!"

That being said, do you ever remember such division ahead of a piece of legislation going into Congress? I first started following politics actively as a kid under the George HW administration and don't remember anything like this. Was it like this during the Nixon to Carter years? I don't remember Conservatives protesting before....

I agree Rich. It's not spoken of in the press but the Tea Party Protest was the single largest organized political protest in the entire history of the United States. If they pass this thing - DC has no idea what it's in for next.

    Jason,
I've changed my position. I'm going to agree with you. I will call Heather Blish a RNC plant since she was a marketing professional that the RNC formerly contracted with.

Now - in that light and since you say, "Unlike you, I'll remain consistent" - Obama was an attorney that ACORN contracted with one 2 separate occasions. Since you are so consistent, applying that same consistent principle one can only come to the conclusion that Obama is an ACORN plant.

What's ACORN been up to lately? Have they been in the news for anything significant?
