I don't see it, Not in my lifetime, anyway.

I don't think the Euro has exactly been a success.

    Colleen,

Some would encourage you to diversify your portfolio into a number of different currencies others might suggest precious metals. I'd consider both.

If the dollar actually falls/fails, I don't think any currency will be worth owning. And if we're really heading to financial Armageddon, I don't think owning the shiny gold stuff will matter, either.

You'll want to own the physical essentials: a lot of land and the means to grow/raise food on it; access to energy; and guns/ammo.

    Hi All,

The real hedge to all this talk about the dollar and its demise, buy gold and silver!!! Who knows how high this will go?

If anyone is heading to UAE let me know, might get you to pick up some Bullions of gold for me forget US real estate from a far, lets try gold and silver from the UAE.

    haha

    Deuce,

I could make the argument that the US Dollar's fiat position & quantitative easing are what is going to bring this country to it's financial knees.

That being said I have more faith in my community than to think we would be reduced to a Mad Max/wild west quality of life. Save for an all out nuclear war.

    Regards, Lee

Let's just say a world currency may look good on paper but most of the time, what looks good on paper never pans out in the real world. There are too many factors involved.

    James,

    I definitely agree.

That's why I posted here to get some fresh eyes on it.

Everyone see's the world from there own perspective more prospectives/points of view more variables can be pinned down understood and accounted for. The better prepared we all are to move forward socially & financially.
