Is anyone interested in meeting monthly in the Ashburn, VA or Leesburg, VA area to discuss real estate investing? Date/Time is still TBD based upon interest. I'm leaning towards a weekend morning since most of us are pretty busy during the week.
My thought is that the meeting would be pretty informal with no set presentation. I will not be pitching any products or services but I do want anyone attending to be able to share deals or services that may benefit the group.
Does anyone have access to a space that we can use in the Ashburn or Leesburg area?

@Chris Strokes@Victor Evans That is a great idea! I'll ask my RE agent if he'd be willing to let us use his conference room. His office, however, is located in Reston, VA (approx. 20 min away from Ashburn). Would that be too far?
As far as that opportunity, I love the Canby Rd area! And that's a great lot size. I have 11 acres off Route 15 and Lime Kiln Rd, so I'm familiar having a house on a lot like that.
That price seems a bit steep, at $26,800/acre. Does it have a view or some other aspect that makes it special?
And yes, building costs are sky high right now. It makes any new construction difficult to pencil out unless you're the builder.
I'd say this lot sounds like a rare find. If you love the lot or location, what about buying and waiting a bit to build, hoping the supply chain recovers and material costs drop a bit?
it really comes down to your goals. If you want a house on acreage in Western Loudoun, the Canby Rd area can't be beat and I'd try to find a way to make it work. If you're just looking for an investment, like you want to build and sell, then high building costs make this a non-starter right now.

Hello not sure if there were any meetups but if we got a small group together I鈥檇 be interested meeting up at a coffee shop with other investors. I鈥檓 in leesburg va
I own 5 houses currently including mine in leesburg Ashburn and one in Clarke county
I stopped real estate in 2013 and have been doing stock investing and some crypto, since but still manage the properties here i like that the values rise but also cash flow
Curious what other investors are doing as I love growth but I also like the monthly checks coming in , tempting to cash out some stocks and buy another property in Reston or Herndon as things gradually get back to normal
