Pretty new here on BP and can't seem to find a REI group around Morgantown...Does anyone know of one!? Forums are great for many things, but sometimes there's just no substitution for chatting face-to-face. (If there's not one, I'd be willing to start one). I'm in Putnam County, but split time down in Charlotte as well. Obviously, logistics are an issue with a bunch of us being from all different locations in the state, but that doesn't mean we can't connect, chat, and who knows, maybe even work on some future deals together.

Yeah we should start our own... I am very new to REI and would definitely benefit from talking with some local investors or people similar to me who are just entering the business. We could grab coffee or a beer?

Okay, a coffee sounds good to me. I like buy and hold multi family properties. I’m up to 11 rental units now. I have flipped 2 sfh. I’m getting ready to close later this month on my 3rd. I can show you the numbers. I’ll share my knowledge for labor on the project. Lol- just kidding.

@Andrew Baughman@Evan Miles Let’s get some coffee sometime soon, the only problem is the Starbucks and places like that are closed to indoor seating as far as I know. May have to get together at a local breakfast place, maybe this weekend or next? And hey, I’m not afraid of work! Wouldn’t mind seeing a property of yours and the process in person, I’d be happy to help!

We live out in the cheat lake area, and like to patronize local. There is a new coffee shop, Annies, out by planet fitness that is open on the inside as well. My schedule is flexible so you can count me in for whatever day we decide.

@Kristos Sfinas@Andrew Baughman@Evan Miles Whats up guys? I unfortunately have to work my day job this Thursday/Friday/Saturday. I am off this Sunday, and will be off next weekend as well. If you guys end up meeting this weekend while I am unavailable, I will catch you guys next time! Annies does sound like a good idea though, I will definitely be there if I we decide on a day I am off. Let me know what you guys think

Im good for Friday morning, if that works for Evan. Time doesnt matter to me. I also dont have kids so theres no morning routine for me to get through, i'll let you dictate that.

What's up guys! It's really unfortunate but there hasn't been a lot of activity on BiggerPockets when it comes to West Virginia. I look forward to changing that if you guys are interested! I'm an agent in southern WV but always down to discuss some real estate!

Sounds great guys! I’m waiting to close on my next flip. I’m excited, anxious, and totally scared all in one. I’m feeling pressure to get it back on the market ASAP because the uncertainty of America right now. Oh well,, worse case scenario—- another rental added to the portfolio-lol.

I'm with you Andrew. I'm under contract on a property I intend to brrrr. I feel pretty good about it, but I'd feel better without the uncertainty. But we've got the new MHP as a hedge I guess.

MHp!? Nice, I looked at one last year in Fairmont. Was overpriced and Didn't make cents to me though. I started in REI when I was 39, gonna be 44 soon. Already have around 300k equity. I'm wishing someone would have told me about RE out of high school. History will not repeat itself,, my 4 kids already know that they're first home will be a multi family-lol

Yeah, I should've started earlier. I started looking at 30 but I was nervous, analysis paralysis, being a wuss. At 33 I bought a four Plex down by Fairmont state did a turn around on it. I sold it three years later for another opportunity. That fell apart so I ended up buying a farm and building a new house. Now I'm getting ready to turn 46. Just this year I really got back into it. I bought that MHP with my business partner and this brrrr is going to be on my own. But I should've started at 22 and stuck with it the whole time.
