Hello. My name is Israel Robles from Livermore, CA. I am a new real estate investor investing out of state specifically in Indy. I was wondering if there is others in the area that may have experience investing out of state as well as investing locally that could help me learn more about REI. If there are others especially around the east bay, I would like to connect and learn as and possibly be partners.

I see a lot of out of State investors make the mistake of buying an asset first before talking to [and hiring] a property manager and/or starting to build a solid team.
@Israel R. I am newbie continue learning about real estate investment. My plans to start first deal begin of next year. I have couple of wholesaler from Indy sending me some deals and ready to start conversation as well. If you want their contact, PM and will send their contacts. I am in BayArea as well so we can connect and share some of our findings into this new biz.

Welcome! There are lots of Bay Area investors on here, some of which are investing out of state.. You should check out @Beau Eckstein's meetup not far from you, and come out to Oakland or SF some time.. @Johnson H. also has a meetup in Milpitas and @Jeff Pollack in San Jose each month. Great people and a fun time :) A couple hundred of us will also be meeting next weekend in Oakland if you can make it!

Feel free to attend my real estate investor group. We've got lots of different types of investors who attend (SFR, MF, in state, out-of-state, mobile home park investors, self-storage, developers, etc.). We've also got several investment property tours coming up, including a life/work multifamily project, multifamily projects in East Oakland, etc.

FYI: I'm a full time investor and have invested out-of-state in many markets for over 10 years.

@Israel R. welcome! Hopefully you can come out to some of the BP Meetups in the near future! If you can make it out you will find that there are tons of BPers that are making it work (both locally and out of state).
