I see tax liens is a good niche to have when looking in my own backyard and other markets. Who is the best person to talk to or book to purchase to find out more information regarding this investment strategy? All suggestions appreciated..

@William T. I write a lot about tax liens both here and on my own website. Others have praised the book the 16% solution.

Most importantly as @Jeff Kehl said learn your state rules. I see a lot of investors in MD loose money becuase they do not understand the rules. I am able to make money because I do.

I got my start by taking an attorney that does tax lien work out to breakfast. He answered just about all my questions and concerns for the cost of a breakfast. You can find the guys that do tax lien work by looking in the legal paper and see who is publishing the foreclosure notices.
