Anyone have CORPORATE RENTAL experience? I need your help :)
Hello fellow BPers,
I have a completely rehabbed house in the Hillsboro, Or area (which is outside of Portland). Intel, Nike, and other large corps are not far away. I've heard corporate housing rental is a good strategy but I don't know where to start. Does anyone have experience in this niche? Have any advice or direction? I'm looking to do this asap.
Thanks all!
Holly

Hey Holly,
Sounds like you’re in a great spot for corporate rentals — Hillsboro has tons of demand between Intel, Nike, and the supporting industries. A few things to help you get started:
1. Platforms to use:
-
Furnished Finder is a big one for corporate and traveling professionals (nurses, consultants, tech workers).
-
Airbnb/VRBO can work too, but corporate folks usually prefer something more “stable” than nightly. You can set minimum stays (30+ days) to filter out vacation traffic.
-
Corporate Housing by Owner (CHBO) is niche but worth a look.
2. What companies look for:
-
Fully furnished, utilities + internet included.
-
Flexible lease terms (30–90 days, sometimes 6 months).
-
Easy parking and proximity to major employers.
3. Pricing:
You’ll generally be above standard rent, but not quite short-term rental rates. Think of it as a premium for convenience + no setup hassle. Run comps on Furnished Finder for your area to get a sense of what’s realistic.
4. Networking angle:
Don’t just rely on platforms. Reach out to relocation departments at Intel, Nike, and big hospitals nearby. A quick email that says, “Hey, I’ve got a fully furnished home available for corporate stays” can sometimes land you direct placements.
My Advice: don’t overthink it. If the property is rehabbed and turnkey, list it on Furnished Finder and Airbnb (with 30-day minimums) right away. That’ll get your phone ringing while you figure out direct employer relationships; I really hope this helps you, I sent you a DM on BP and hope you can assist.
