Check-in/out time for an MTR?

Ashley Bitner
Posted

Hi BP friends! I am currently self-managing an STR and am trying to pick up some MTR bookings during my slow season. I just got a month long booking, and my question is... do your MTRs have a checkin/checkout time like an STR? or are MTRs more like an LTR where they can move in/move out at any time of the day? I'm trying to figure out how much of a buffer I need at the start and end of each MTR booking. Thanks!

Most MTRs still have set check-in/check-out times like an STR to protect cleaning and turnovers. I treat them as STR structure with a bit more flexibility—early check-in or late check-out if the calendar allows. I try to keep at least a 1-day buffer when possible, especially between MTRs.
