How I save money on contractors

1. I noticed in my area the vast majority of rooftop companies don't do their own work and instead subcontract it out. The roofing companies with the branded pickups are the ones to avoid. I shadowed two of them to a job site and discovered who the subcontract with and now save lots of money. Instead of quotes for roof that are 20k I get jobs done for around 8k

2. I found that when renting dumpsters some companies would charge for overages. One company I used recently on two jobs never did and is my goto

3. if I need a maid service I will use the trial services of sites such as homeaglow or dazzling cleaning where they offer steep discount to new customers. The logic of their website uses the address of the property to determine who is a new customer. I have gotten three hours of cleaning for $30 total
