Landlord rental policies in Michigan

I have a portfolio of rental properties and have not really shopped around for a competitive quote. Currently with Allstate. Any recommendations from other landlords on your landlord policies shopping. Looking for recommendations on competitive insurance companies and agents.

    Praveen, as with all things this depends on your portfolio. If they are all 1-4 family units Foremost is a great company. They accept student housing and properties that are in pretty rough shape.

    I would agree Foremost is good but an Independent Agent can shop multiple carriers.  For these types of properties we can look at over 10 carriers depending on the situation.

    I always suggest going through a broker.  The "big name" companies all have abilities to help the small/begging investor, but once you get multiple properties, it seems to be a better fit for the investor to move their products to a broker to get more options and also have an opportunity to work with someone who specializes in working with investors.
